Uma experiência na revolução industrial de uma serralharia relatório de estágio: planeamento e controlo da produção na Serralharia Artística Marques & Pereira Lda.

Abstract

O presente relatório tem como objetivo essencial relatar as atividades executadas no âmbito do estágio realizado na Serralharia Artística Marques & Pereira Lda. O mesmo teve uma duração de 9 meses incidindo as suas atividades no planeamento e controlo de produção, de forma ao mestrando aplicar o conhecimento adquirido e demonstrar o culminar do seu percurso académico no âmbito do Mestrado de Gestão de Empresas. Numa perspetiva teórica, foram analisados vários artigos científicos e estudos de caso relativamente ao paradigma da Indústria 4.0 e 5.0, permitindo evidenciar o impacto que ambos têm nas empresas, a sua importância, os benefícios e as dificuldades de inserção que despertam. Ambos permitem as empresas entrarem num mundo mais digital, automático e preocupado com questões ambientais e sociais. São também evidenciados e analisados os impulsionadores da revolução industrial, a filosofia do Lean Thinking, a Produção Lean e as suas principais ferramentas auxiliares, juntamente com os objetivos de um planeamento e controlo da produção. Numa ótica voltada para o estágio e a empresa envolvida, é realizada uma descrição da empresa e dos seus processos juntamente com as razões que levam a empresa a revolucionar-se. De seguida, são apresentadas as principais atividades e responsabilidades respeitantes ao estágio efetuado e ao departamento em que este se inseriu. Por fim, evidencia-se as propostas de resolução para os problemas empresariais salientados, assim como os entraves na aplicação dos mesmos. Os destaques deste relatório reúnem-se na forma como a empresa se fomenta, o seu pensamento e a integração/vontade dos funcionários face à mudança de paradigma para a indústria 4.0, que causam entraves no alcance da revolução pretendida. A empresa em análise tem investido bastante na aquisição de software de gestão e de auxílio à função empresarial (serralharia). Contudo, para poder alcançar os seus objetivos, torna-se necessária a definição de um rumo integrado com a missão, envolvendo todas as pessoas em prol de objetivos comuns e bem definidos. The current report aims to describe the main activities executed during the internship carried out at Serralharia Artística Marques & Pereira Lda. The abovementioned internship lasted 9 months and it was mainly focused on activities related to planning and production control, which has allowed the master student to demonstrate and put in practice the theoretical knowledge acquired during the academic path under the Master in Business Management. From a theoretical perspective, several scientific papers and study cases related to the paradigm of Industries 4.0 and 5.0 were analyzed, so it is possible to understand and highlight their impacts and importance to the companies, as well as their benefits and the challenges they raise. There is no doubt that both of them allow the companies to jump into a more digital, automatic, and sustainable world. In addition, together with the main objectives of a planning and production control process, it is also analyzed and highlighted the drivers of the industrial revolution, the Lean Thinking philosophy and the Lean production system and its main ancillary tools. From a practical perspective, focused on the internship, it is performed a brief description of the “hosting” company, its processes, and the main reasons why the company has decided to revolutionize itself. Additionally, they are presented the main roles and responsibilities and the department where they were carried out during the internship. Lastly, they are emphasize the main business issues identified, together with some proposals of resolution and possible obstacles to their implementation. The most important aspects which come from this report are related to the way the company fosters itself, as well as the behavior and integration of its employees facing the paradigm shift to Industry 4.0, which causes obstacles to the intended revolution. The company under analysis has highly invested in the implementation of an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) which would be able to support the business activities. Notwithstanding, in order to be able to achieve its goals, the company must be capable to define a path duly aligned with its mission, involving all the employees around those common and well-defined goals.
