As instalações do ISMAT no tecido urbanístico da cidade de Portimão : um edifício para uma escola de arquitetura

Abstract

O polo universitário ISMAT (Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes) faz parte do meu percurso académico, decorrente da minha formação em arquitetura. Sendo assim, quero relacionar um assunto que me desperte interesse tanto a nível pessoal como para benefício da própria instituição. A minha investigação inicia-se com uma introdução histórica de Portimão, caracterizando os principais aspetos da sua evolução enquanto cidade, até a atualidade. Depois, vou analisar o lugar onde a instituição ISMAT (Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes) encontra-se implantado no tecido urbano de Portimão, para perceber a importância do mesmo perante a evolução da malha urbana. Durante a catalogação, vou dissecar sobre a sua história e implantação do edifício no ambiente histórico da Cidade de Portimão. Após reunido toda a informação arquitetónica do instituto vou avançar com uma análise de casos, vou dissecar sobre um edifício vocacionado para a aprendizagem e formação em arquitetura. Finalizando com uma proposta para o futuro da instituição ISMAT.

The university ISMAT (Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes) is part of my academic course, resulting from my training in architecture. Therefore I want to relate a subject that interests me personally and for the benefit of the institution. My research begins with a historical introduction of Portimão characterizing the main aspects of its evolution as a city until the present time. Then I will analyze the place where the institution ISMAT (Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes) is implanted in the urban of Portimão. To realize the importance of the same before the evolution of the urban concept. During the cataloging, I will dissect about its history and implantation of the building in the historical environment of the City of Portimão. After gathering all the architectural information of the institute I will proceed with a case analysis, I will dissect about a building aimed at learning and training in architecture. Finalizing with a proposal for the future of the ISMAT institution.
