Infra-estruturas de apoio, Parque agro-patrimonial da Ria de Alvor : centro de interpretação e conservação de património rural e albergue de juventude

Abstract

Para promover sustentabilidade urbana, torna-se necessário compreender as comunidades periurbanas, dotá-las dos equipamentos necessários, promover dinâmicas e inverter a tendência da periferia enquanto bairro dormitório, transformando lentamente estes territórios em peças essenciais e complementares aos centros urbanos. Conhecer a Mexilhoeira Grande é observar o seu carácter rural, a sua relação com a Ria de Alvor, perceber a importância deste território e do seu património material e imaterial. Adotando a formulação do binómio agro-patrimonial, aliando os achados arqueológicos ao carácter produtivo da sua estrutura de desenvolvimento. Torna-se assim imprescindível a planificação da figura de Parque Agro-patrimonial, com infraestruturas de apoio. As premissas do projeto arquitetónico de estas infraestruturas de apoio deverão pertencer à paisagem e explorar relações e transições entre edificado e território natural/agrícola. Quer o conceito arquitetónico quer o programa do edificado e materiais utilizados deverão convergir para a revalidação socioeconómica, produtiva e natural do lugar, promovendo a sustentabilidade do território em todas as suas escalas. Para que tal aconteça pretende-se a implementação de um Centro de Interpretação e Conservação do Património Rural. O Centro de Interpretação, está localizado perto do sítio arqueológico da Abicada, no terreno da antiga vacaria, na Freguesia da Mexilhoeira Grande. Atua como centro de gestão patrimonial, dotando-o de todos os serviços essenciais e definindo uma premissa, no que toca a revalidação das suas matrizes culturais (gastronomia, agricultura, técnicas construtivas e técnicas agrícolas) aliadas a um desenvolvimento tecnológico. Paralelamente torna-se imprescindível a integração do edificado na paisagem circundante, mantendo o Genius Loci da Abicada (Transparência na Arquitetura Vernacular). O Albergue de juventude, localizado na Quinta da Rocha, e perto da zona de sapal. Pretende promover um turismo sustentável. O equipamento destaca-se, sem que com isso, se sobreponha ao meio natural circundante, por esse motivo foi tentada uma reinterpretação do edificado existente no local (Reinterpretação da Arquitetura Vernacular). O Genius Loci define uma abordagem fenomenológica do ambiente e da interação entre lugar e identidade, ou seja, o lugar define o Homem e vice-versa. Para que a identidade seja preservada, todo o projeto arquitetónico deverá pertencer à paisagem e explorar relações e transições entre edificado e território natural/agrícola. Quer o conceito arquitetónico quer o programa do edificado e materiais, quer a vegetação endógena utilizados deverão convergir para a reinterpretação da arquitetura tradicional. Procura-se a relação entre a identidade cultural e as suas atividades, recorrendo a uma integração do edificado na paisagem explorando assim a vertente organicista do projeto arquitetónico com o intuito de promover a validação socioeconómica, produtiva e natural do lugar, bem como a interação social e cultural entre os aglomerados urbanos de Portimão/Alvor e Mexilhoeira Grande.

In order to promote urban sustainability, it is necessary to understand the peri-urban communities, providing them with necessary infrastructures, promote dynamics and reverse the trend of the periphery as dormitory neighborhoods, slowly transforming these suburban territories in key pieces, complementary to the urban centers. To know Mexilhoeira Grande is to observe its rural character, its relationship with the Ria de Alvor, realize the importance of this territory and its tangible and intangible heritage. Adopting the formulation of a binomial agro - heritage, combining archaeological findings with the productive character of nature and its development framework, thus becomes essential the planning figure of an Agro - Heritage Park, with the required support infrastructures. The assumptions of the architectural design of these support infrastructures should belong to the landscape and explore relationships and transitions between the building and natural/agricultural territory. Both the architectural concept of the building and the program and materials used should converge to the socio-economic, productive and natural revalidation of the place, promoting the sustainability of the territory in all its scales. In order for all this objectives to happen it is intended to implement an Interpretation Center and Conservation of Rural Heritage (Abicada peninsula, Mexilhoeira Grande Parish, near the Abicada archaeological site, a former cowshed. The Center acts as central asset management, providing all the essential services and setting a premise, when it comes to renewing the cultural matrices of the territory (food, agriculture, construction techniques and farming techniques) combined with technological development. Parallel to that, it becomes imperative to integrate the buildings into the landscape, keeping the genius loci of Abicada (Transparency in Vernacular Architecture). The youth Hostel, is located in Quinta da Rocha, near the marshland. It aims to promote sustainable tourism. This equipment should stand out , without imposing itself in the surrounding landscape , therefore it was attempted the reinterpretation of the existing buildings on site (Reinterpretation of Vernacular Architecture ). Genius Loci defines a phenomenological approach to the environment and the interaction between identity and location, with the intention that the location sets the man and vice versa. For identity to be preserved the architectural design must belong to the landscape and explore the relations and transitions between the built and natural/agricultural territory. At the same time the architectural concept of the building the program and materials and the endogenous vegetation used should converge to reinterpret traditional architecture. The objective of the present dissertation is to relate cultural identity with their traditional activities, using an integration of the building within the landscape, therefore exploring the organic aspect of architectural design in order to promote and validate the socio-economic, productive and natural heritage of the place, as well as the social and cultural interaction between the urban clusters of Portimão/Alvor and Mexilhoeira Grande.
